LIKONET Security was founded in 2009 by John Likonet after a career in the Kenya Police Service. His vision was simple: create a security company that treated every client's property as if it were his own.
Starting with two guards and a single corporate client in Westlands, LIKONET grew through referrals and a relentless focus on quality. By 2015, we had 300 guards and 40 clients. Today, we protect over 200 organisations and employ 1,200+ security professionals across Kenya.
We were early adopters of CCTV analytics, GPS patrol tracking and client-facing dashboards — technology investments that transformed our service quality and set us apart from competitors still running on paper registers.
